The visual arts are perhaps the most presented aspect of the Hi- Deserts thriving cultural Arts renaissance. The Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council (MBCAC) has unified the artistic community and positioned it as an economic force with its annual studio tour. The High Desert Living Arts Center (HDLAC) has implemented and conducts grass roots arts programs in the community. The city of Twentynine Palms has been a leader in the gallery scene, which is now spreading throughout the region.

Oasis of Murals
